Most priests go to Hell.
Following Jesus (Luke 13.22 +; Mt 7:13-14) and so many Fathers and Doctors of the Church who preached that only a small number of souls would be saved (cf. Judas is in Hell Guy Pagès, FX de Guibert, Paris, 2007), the Superior General of the Society of Priests of St. Sulpice, Louis Tronson, taught that most priests are going to Hell (Interviews and meditations Church, ed. Rusand, Paris, 1826. www.JesusMarie.com Cf). And that, he gave four reasons as follows:
Among those who are priests, not all have the vocation. Many reasons to become a priest unworthy of the glory of God, salvation of souls and their own sanctification. They become a priest because they think and ensure an income for the rest of their lives (that I no longer think that this is the case now in France) because the work is not too tiring (it either), because Mom wants, because it does well (and it either!), etc..
Among those who really vocation, some do not persevere. Thus, in France, today, many young priests after one, two, three years of ministry, left the priesthood ... swept away by love of the world, which is incompatible with love of God (2 Tim 4.10; Jc 4.4).
Among those who actually received the vocation to the priesthood, and who persevere, many do not fulfill the obligations of office, including failing to warn the souls entrusted to them for their faults and sins, and the danger they are thus to damn (Ez 33.6) ... They are afraid of losing the esteem of men rather than God, and thus lose the faith itself "How can ye believe, who receive glory from one another, and n 'did not care for the praise of God? "(Jn 5.44). As St Paul said: "I would no longer the servant of Christ if I was still trying to please men." (Galatians 1.10; Jas 2.1).
Finally, the last reason: when a priest falls into sin, there is little chance that he is (Heb 6.4 +). Why? Because like the angel Lucifer as the highest of them, the state the priest, its proximity to the Heart of Jesus, the insignia graces he has received, are that when he chooses to sin, his contempt of God is near perfect ... Because of this clarity that his will is guilty of a sin almost unforgivable. No, of course, that God can not forgive! but because there are hardly any new account that could get him to love the Lord again as it should ... In the words of the Epistle to the Hebrews: "It is indeed impossible, for those who once have been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who became participants in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the good Word of God and the forces of the world to come, and who nevertheless fell, to renovate a second time by leading them to repentance, then they crucify the Son on behalf of God and violate the public. "(Heb 6.4-6). (...)
